Doing its bid for the community, the Association organized a blood donation campaign on 28th November 2004 at the newly completed Plaza Tanjung Aru. The even was jointly co-hosted by the Mandarin Lions Club of Kota Kinabalu. With registration counters open from 9.00am till 4.00pm, over 50 people bled for a good cause, among the very first being the organizers themselves. This does not include over 20 other people who wanted to donate but were deemed ineligible by the medical staff on hand.

Each donor was given a goodie bag for their willingness to donate their blood. Donors include most of the Association's executive committee members led by its President, Herman Yee.
