This year's annual dinner was held on 21st August 2004 at the Sutera Magellan Grand Ballroom. Building upon the successes of previous years, this year's witnessed several firsts in this long-standing tradition: an unprecedented 113 tables were taken up this year's dinner; and for the first time as well, the TYT of Sabah, Tun Haji Ahmadshah Abdullah, an ex-student of La Salle himself and his consort, graced the dinner with their presence. Extra special... that was the flavour of the evening. Even the organizing committee and executive committee had batik shirts tailored specially for the evening.
There were the speeches, the performances by students, and of course, the largest class turnout competition. The Class of 1989, facing a strong challenge from the Class of 1982, managed to fend off all pretenders to the throne and won the contest again. The lucky draw was the final event. As usual, the grand prize was an air ticket, this time to Bangkok, gladly accepted by a lucky ex-student. It was all in all, a splendid night. We hope to see you all again in 2005!
